" Pain & Not Pain " - Decoration to Nina Skogseth's threatment center.

 Nina - who has her own naprapath & fysiotherapi-business , ordered pictures from me. The motifs she wanted was "pain" and "not pain" , and the pics are to be seen in her office and threatment-center in Mo i Rana, Nordland, Norway.

I made a visit there, first, to measure the rooms, concider colour,ligh,size -  and decided to make two acrylic paintings and also some digital drawings.

So , the result was four pictures related to her business as naprapath /physiotherapy - decorating her office in Myraveien, Mo i Rana, Nordland, Norway. An experience I would like to repeat, this way to work was exciting and gave meaning to the artwork. I like to "cooperate" arciterctural with the room .

The Exhibition "Nordnorsken 2011 "

I N F O

This is what's said about my installation "Littjhegga" , "The Little Bird Cherry" - translation will come later. This Exhibition will make a tour in the Northern part of Norway , the tour lasts for 11 monts. Around to the most Northern Town Hammerfest, to the southern "Days of Vega" , in July. It is very strange , to think about , that this part of my tree is travelling around ...

Sølvi Åsvik bor på Nesna og har bakgrunn fra lærerhøyskolen i Forming og Arkitetkthøgskolen. Hun har jobbet med kunstnerisk- og billedpedagogisk aktivitet i flere år og debuterer her med ’littjhegga’. installasjonen er en sammenstilling av flere media; et maleri, fotocollage, en tre-stubbe og et lydspor. i lydsporet hører vi en kvinnestemme fortelle en personlig og nær historie. På flere språk – og på flere plan gir historien oss et bilde av nordnorsk natur og kultur, slektsbånd, sorg ved å miste og på samme tid - barndoms glede og forventninger.
